Euro Cup 2008

June 30th, 2008 by lifekiosk

July 1, 2008, the Euro cup just overed. Spain easily beat Germany with 1 - 0. Many Germany fans was so upset. For me, even i support Germany, but i think that Spain will win as overall performance of Spain team are excellent. Games must have win and lose, happy and sad. Don’t be so serious on the result itself.

Actually the games result don’t make me sad, what make me so down that I heard the radio news that a father of 3 childs hang himself after the match because he owed the loan shark almost RM900K after the Euro cup. If he can’t take this why he make it so hard. He should know that he have the responsible for his kids. I personally agree that sport, gamble and entertainment can be related, but just that oneself should control themself.

Hope this kind of sad incident wouldn’t happen again.

Happy 2007

January 1st, 2007 by lifekiosk

Yo 2007, welcome aboard and this must be my lucky year…

Just have dinner with some old school mate. It was great that we still keep in touch with each others after so many years. Wish all of them have a great year too. After the dinner,me, my wife and kids didn’t join the group to the count down celebration. We went back home, as we have kids (you will know if you are parent).

For me, i really have a big plan for 2007. Year 2006 consider not so good for me, but things getting better when come to Dec ‘06. My business and  my luck improved tremendously. What a good sign…

Everyone has dreams and visions. I believe in bringing mine to my life. Just for myself, my family and the community. That’s me. Year 2007 is a good start for me. I hope i can fulfill all my short term plans toward all the major plans. I wish the foundation i build, the relation i have with others will stay stronger and improve.

Since the year 2007 just started, I’d like to note some reminders for myself, don’t ever stop "dreaming" and "contributing". All the best to my businesses, my online business - LIFE Kiosk, and my family.

Step, Qi, Qing and family, I love you all… Happy New Year!!

What really is your Dream,Vision,Goals and Life Purpose

December 13th, 2006 by lifekiosk

Life purpose, Vision, Dreams and Goals are not mashed toghether as one. I would like to explain the true fine line between each of them and how it is linked to one another.

First thing first, set a life direction that should be the guiding light in setting your vision, dreams and goals. Everyone has only one life direction that is called the LIFE Purpose. Then define a LIFE Purpose statement as detailed as possible that truly matches with the most meaningful or fulfilling things you have done / to be done in future. As for me, my LIFE Purpose statement is "To help myself and other finding peace and happiness to achieve harmony and strike balance in life".

With Life Purpose clearly defined, go to set your visions that are the same as Dreams. Ask yourself what do you want to be in order to achieve your life purpose. The most common dreams such as buying bangolow, won luxury cars, be asset-rich, debt-free, ect. If there are only things you dreams, then you are having a RESTRICTED dream that only benefit yourself and family. Remember our success and wealth don’t just create by you alone but is the result of many other people’s effort in the business world who had helped us one way or any. We should be thankful to many of them who may not know us and eventually CONTRIBUTE back to the society. You might want to have a vision to be an caring ambassador in a big charity project that will provide support and financial aids to million of needy. If you stops after the first dream, you will find yourself stuck and mid-life crisis may happen to you. Move on to another dreams and strive for it.

To achieve your dreams and visions, you needs to set action plan that is your goals. Set a SMART "short-term" goals to measure your performance in achiving certain target that closer to your dream. Encourage yourself to do something every day and you will find you have progress more at the end of a week or month. Stretch yourself by setting goals is very challenging. The more mistake you make, more chance to do correction and more sucessful you become.

To summarize, first define your LIFE Purpose statement. Then set your vision or dreams to be completed within a specified timeframe. Plan your action with challenging goals. After achieving your dreams, set new one also aligned with your life purpose and set new goals. Life long education is only possible if you keeps on setting new dreams.

Be a winner in your heart to unleash hidden power within you.

Lifestyle of a Yuppie

October 14th, 2006 by lifekiosk

A Yuppie opened the door of his BMW. Suddenly a car came along and hit the door, ripping it off completely! When the police arrived at the scene, the Yuppie was complaining bitterly about the damage of his precious BMW.

“Officer! Look what they have done to my BMW!” he whined.
“You Yuppie are so materialistic, you make me sick!” retorted the officer. “You’re so damn worried about your stupid BMW, that you don’t even notice your right arm was ripped off!!”

“Oh, my goddd…” replied the Yuppie, and finally noticing the bloody left shoulder where his are once was.
“Where is my Rolex?!!!” said the Yuppie again!

Moral of the story??

Do YOU have a DREAM?

September 25th, 2006 by lifekiosk

Once upon a time, my dream was to be a pilot. However, as i grew up, I knew my dream became unrealistic as i have short sight (lay blame). I graduated from Mechanical Engineering, and worked as an engineer for few years. Then I changed my field in sales of industrial products at a multi national company. Guess what, i should be more exicited and more challeged. Yes at the beginning stage of my sales career. But soon, I felt that i do not have my own direction and time as most of the time been travel around, lot of schedules, meetings, targets, entertainments… I came across up and down cycle. Life is a process of Growing up, man!! and "Smooth sea does not make good sallor". I am now self employ. Of course I’m proud of who i am now (after 30 years…)

MY Dream now is simple : Spend more meaningful time with family & friends, have good health and help the NEEDY (this is more realistic, isn’t it?!)
